About the Book

Caitlin Clark’s love of the game of basketball is contagious. Her talent, spirit, and confidence brought a new level of national attention to the sport of basketball. As her fame spread, she quickly became a role model for young boys and girls everywhere to dream big and play with passion. But losing is part of basketball, and learning to lose well is an important part of staying positive and not giving up on your dreams.

This is the message of Just Like Caitlin. Told through the storytelling of a loving grandfather to his basketball-loving granddaughter, Just Like Caitlin chronicles the life and career of Caitlin Clark, while also offering children a deeper lesson to remember what matters most in life: not the championships we win, but the people we love along the way.

By teaching children this value from a young age, they’ll learn how to work hard and dream big, but also what to do when things don’t turn out as they hoped. As they read about Caitlin’s incredible career, through Just Like Caitlin, children around the world will certainly be inspired by her talent and accomplishments—but more so by the values she places on what’s truly important in life.

What kids (and you!) will learn from reading Just Like Caitlin:

  • Learn about the incredible career of Caitlin Clark
  • Be inspired to dream big and compete on the court and in life.
  • Discover a new way of looking at winning and losing and how to put it in its proper context.
  • Realize their value as a person is worth more than their achievements.
  • Understand what to do and where to turn when they question their talent, skill, or success.
  • Be encouraged to value the relationships in their life over accomplishments.
